My first manager and producer, famed and fabulous record producer, singer, manager, wit and red-head Peter Asher and I will be doing an evening of music and stories together for the first time, August 7 on Martha’s Vineyard.
I met Peter in ’69, we started recording my first album, “Sister Kate” in 1970 and we are celebrating the 41st anniversary of it’s release this summer with a concert to benefit the MV YMCA.
If you haven’t seen Peter’s Memoir show, it is a must. And I am thrilled to be a part of it for this special night.

Hi Kate! Angelo DiMeglio is my good friend and I illustrated and co-wrote the new book, “HOLE IN THE BOTTOM OF THE SEA” with the amazing CHRISTINE LAVIN! Angelo said he gave you a copy of the book.
I am reaching out to you to see if you have any advice for us to get some things going on the Vineyard, namely a concert for Chris and maybe some school visits for me. I have already been in touch with Ann Bassett who wants to interview us (although I am still waiting to hear back from her again) and The Bunch of Grapes bookstore said they would do a signing if we came.
I will let Chris know I reached out to you and please feel free to contact her directly if you feel more comfortable doing that. BTW, congratulations on reaching your kickstarter goal! Chris and I raised over $12,000 on Kickstarter for our book project!

We’re renting a place on the Cape for the week of July 7th, visiting from Florida – our biannual trip. Man, I wish the show was next week so we could be there, sounds great! One these days there’ll be a show scheduled while we’re up there so we can see you play!!!!
